Citric Acid can be used to lower the PH to the dyeing bath. It is a little stronger than lemon juice, but not as strong as Tartaric Acid. It is useful for lowering the PH only a little. Citric Acid is used as well mainly to shift colors and create new shades. It is also used as an odourless fixative for acid dyes and as an alternative to acetic acid. Expand your color palette with experimenty with it for brighter colors.
